Hi, I’m Jamie, and I’m the owner of Ebony & Oak Interiors. I am overjoyed to launch my interior design firm to connect with clients to help them design spaces they love and feel comfortable in their homes.
I have an extensive background in Fashion Merchandising and Fabric Purchasing which both fueled my love of working with color, patterns, and fabrics. After taking a break from my corporate career I realized that interior design was where my true passion lay. It was like a fire was lit from within: I started an Interior Design Program at the New York Institute of Art & Design, devoured interior design books, and taught myself design software.
With school finishing in the fall, I am ready to launch Ebony & Oak Interiors and help people love their homes. The idea of Ebony & Oak was inspired by the idea of mixing two design elements together. Ebony, a rare and exotic dark hardwood, is contrasted by oak, commonly used for flooring and furniture. While the two differ, they can be paired together beautifully; I want to help do the same for my clients by combining the rare with the every day to create a unique space all their own.
With a focus on residential design, I offer a variety of packages to meet your personalized needs. Whether you need a 2-hour consult to bounce ideas around, or a full-service room design from initial concept, to the final placement of the last accessory, Ebony & Oak Interiors is available to help. Check out our Services page to learn more about Design Jumpstart, Designer for a Day and Designer by Your Side. Regardless of the level of service you need, I am here to take you from feeling overwhelmed to over the moon.
As a mom, I understand the challenge of balancing kid-friendly decor with adult-friendly style. Creating transitional designs with a modern twist is my jam, and creating family spaces that are both beautiful and functional is definitely at the top of my list.
My transitional style helps me create functional rooms for busy families that need a little bit of extra help to make their home truly theirs. I help my clients by making sure their homes work for them, whether they need a dining table for 12 for their next dinner party, kid-friendly sofas with removable and washable slipcovers, or a full kitchen reno that says goodbye 1980, hello 2022.
I value good communication, and prioritize listening to my clients throughout the entire process. We work as a team to create the best space imaginable that balances your needs, budget, and project scope. With some mean problem-solving skills I make sure that any hiccups (and in renovations there are always hiccups!) will be handled swiftly, with minimal disruption to the project.
I look forward to sharing my projects and connecting with you as I create beautiful, functional spaces.
